Hi there and thanks for your question! The recipe is written correctly and the note in the post is incorrect. There is no butter in this scone. Typically scones do contain butter and, in that case, it’s not necessary to blend the butter in completely. This recipe gets its fat from the cheese. My comment was more generalized to sweet scones and I will change is shortly. Thanks for pointing this out and my apologies for the confusion. Francine
