Is it a cocktail or a dessert?? Whichever you decide, you’re going to love this Sangria Slushie. It’s made by freezing red wine and then blending it with vodka, fruit juices, and simple syrup.
The color is gorgeous, it’s easy to make and the taste is superb!

Sangria Slushie
Makes: 2 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes plus freeze time overnight
Ingredients
- 1 cup red wine
- 3/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1/4 cup simple syrup (See Chef’s Note)
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- Orange wedges and berries, for garnish
Instructions
Freeze red wine in an ice cube tray overnight.
Blend red wine cubes with rest of the ingredients plus a large handful of ice until slushy. Garnish with orange wedges and berries.
Chef’s Note:
To make simple syrup, combine 1/4 cup sugar with 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar dissolves, approximately 5 minutes. Cool before using.
