No reason to buy jarred tomato sauce when you can make Quick and Easy Marinara Sauce. In 30 minutes you have a delicious, flavorful sauce to use with pasta, eggplant Parmesan or meatballs, such as this Italian Chicken Meatballs recipe.
I love homemade pesto and always have some in my freezer so this recipe is right up my alley (btw Costco has amazing pesto available in the refrigerated section in case you don’t like making it).
Place the pesto sauce and Italian seasonings in a saucepan and cook for a minute.
Add the fire-roasted and crushed tomatoes, crushed red pepper and salt. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Adjust seasonings if necessary, add chopped basil and enjoy! That’s it!
