Spiced Holiday Sangria

I love a good Sangria and this red Spiced Holiday Sangria has to be the best I’ve every tasted. That is saying a lot as I feel I’m somewhat of a connoisseur, tasting sangria all around the world.
The spiced simple syrup is the kicker but using Tempranillo wine (a Spanish red wine) along with apple and pear brandy takes this to another level. You’re going to love this as much as I do!
As I mentioned, the simple syrup really works in this recipe, so don’t skip it. Combine water and sugar along with the spices and bring to a simmer in a saucepan. Once simmering, turn the heat off and let sit for 10 minutes. Strain the syrup and let cool completely.
For the sangria, add the fruit to a large pitcher. Top with the red wine, brandies, sparkling apple cider and spiced simple syrup. Stir it and chill it for at least 4 hours and up to 72 hours.
Garnish with rosemary sprigs and orange slices and enjoy the best sangria ever!
