There is always a reason to make Spring Cheddar Blooms! These whimsical appetizers are perfect for Mothers Day, graduation, one of the kiddos birthday parties or end-of-school get-together.
So simple that you can get the kids involved in making these, this is a healthy appetizer you’ll want to keep in the rotation.
Begin by slicing the cheese into 1/2-inch thick slices. If you slice it thinner, it’s hard to poke the skewer in without breaking the cheese.
Then, use a small tulip cookie cutter to cut the tulip shape. You can also do these by hand, but it’s a bit trickier. Cut a v-shape into the top of a rectangle or oval shape to resemble a flower.
Then, slice the grapes in half and add 4 of them to a skewer, alternating and angling them to look like leaves.
Place a cheese tulip on the top of the skewer.
Place the blooms on a platter and serve!
